Where's Your Voice?
Timberland is a private, not-for-profit organization based in Grand Rapids, MI. We are dedicated to helping people care for and protect their natural resources and to improve local economies, environment, and living standards. We work together with local residents to help plan how they can actively solve environmental, economic, and social problems in their own communities. We cover a 10-county area to include services in Clinton, Ionia, Ingham, Kent, Mecosta, Montcalm, Muskegon, Newaygo, Oceana, and Ottawa Counties.

Rogue River
In-stream Habitat Assessment and Improvement
Of the two targeted tributaries, Cedar Creek was deemed the least plausible for woody-debris habitat work, as it was quite full of cobble (large stones). Stegman Creek proved to be even more valuable than originally thought: Josh Zuiderveen (Rogue River Project Manager) and his team surveyed the stream and found a large number of trout in sparse habitat. Since beginning the assessment, Josh and his team have completed over thirty structures in Stegman and are continuing to work upstream.
